Hepa box, also called hepa filter box, are essential purification equipment at the end of clean rooms. Let's learn about the knowledge of hepa box!

1. Product Description

Hepa boxes are terminal filtration devices of clean room air supply systems. Its main function is to transport purified air into the clean room at a uniform speed and in a good airflow organization form, effectively filter dust particles in the air, and ensure that the air quality in the clean room meets the corresponding cleanliness level requirements. For example, in pharmaceutical clean room, electronic chip manufacturing workshops and other places with extremely high requirements for environmental cleanliness, hepa boxes can provide clean air that meets the production process.

2. Structural composition

Diffuser plate, hepa filter, casing, air damper, etc.

3. Working principle

The outside air first passes through the primary and secondary filtration equipment of the air conditioning system to remove larger particles of dust and impurities. Then, the pre-treated air enters the static pressure box of the hepa box. In the static pressure box, the air speed is adjusted and the pressure distribution is more uniform. Next, the air passes through the hepa filter, and the tiny dust particles are adsorbed and filtered by the filter paper. The clean air is then evenly transported to the clean room through the diffuser, forming a stable and clean airflow environment.

4. Daily maintenance

(1). Daily cleaning points:

① Appearance cleaning

Regularly (at least once a week is recommended) wipe the outer surface of the hepa box with a clean soft cloth to remove dust, stains and other impurities.

The installation frame and other parts around the air outlet should also be cleaned to ensure the overall appearance is neat.

② Check the sealing

Perform a simple sealing check once a month. Observe whether there is a gap between the connection between the air outlet and the air duct, and between the air outlet frame and the installation surface. You can feel whether there is obvious air leakage by lightly touching the connection.

If the sealing strip is found to be aging, damaged, etc., resulting in poor sealing, the sealing strip should be replaced in time.

(2). Regular maintenance measures:

① Filter replacement

The hepa filter is a key component. It should be replaced every 3-6 months according to the cleanliness requirements of the use environment and factors such as air supply volume.

② Internal cleaning

Clean the inside of the air outlet once every six months. Use professional cleaning tools, such as a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush head, to first remove visible dust and debris inside;

For some stains that are difficult to remove, you can gently wipe them with a clean damp cloth. After wiping, make sure they are completely dry before closing the inspection door;

③ Inspection of fans and motors (if any)

For hepa box with fan, the fans and motors should be inspected every quarter;

If the fan blades are found to be deformed, they should be repaired or replaced in time; if the motor connection wires are loose, they need to be re-tightened;

When performing maintenance and repairs on hepa box, operators should have relevant professional knowledge and skills, strictly abide by safety operating procedures, and ensure the effective implementation of maintenance and repair work to maintain the good performance of hepa box.
