HOW OFTEN SHOULD A CLEANROOM BE CLEANED?

A cleanroom must be cleaned regularly to fully control incoming dust and maintain a consistently clean state. So, how often should it be cleaned, and what should be cleaned?

1. Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning is recommended, with a schedule of minor cleanings and comprehensive major cleanings.

2. GMP cleanroom cleaning is essentially the cleaning of equipment used in production, and the condition of the equipment determines the cleaning schedule and method.

3. If equipment needs to be disassembled, the order and method of disassembly should also be determined. Therefore, upon receiving the equipment, it is important to conduct a brief analysis to understand and familiarize yourself with it.

4. Some equipment requires manual or automated cleaning, but some cannot be fully cleaned. Recommended cleaning methods for equipment and components include immersion cleaning, scrubbing, showering, or other appropriate cleaning methods.

5. Create a detailed cleaning certification plan. It's recommended to establish specific requirements for major and minor cleanings. For example, when adopting a phased production organization, consider the maximum production time and the number of batches in each phase as the basis for the cleaning plan.

Also, pay attention to the following cleaning requirements:

1. Clean cleanroom walls with cleanroom wipes and an approved cleanroom specific detergent.

2. Daily check and clear all trash receptacles in cleanroom and throughout the office, and vacuum the floors. Completed work should be noted on a work sheet at each shift handover.

3. Clean cleanroom floor with a dedicated mop, and vacuum the workshop with a dedicated vacuum cleaner equipped with hepa filter.

4. All cleanroom doors should be inspected and wiped dry, and the floor should be mopped after vacuuming. Mop cleanroom walls weekly.

5. Vacuum and mop the underside of the raised floor. Clean the columns and support columns under the raised floor every three months.

6. When working, always remember to wipe from top to bottom, from the farthest point of the high door to the door. Cleaning time should be completed regularly and quantitatively. Do not be lazy, let alone procrastinate. Otherwise, the seriousness of the problem is not just a matter of time. It may affect the cleanroom environment and the equipment. Cleaning on time and in quantity can effectively extend the service life.
