

1. Different definitions
(1). Clean booth, also known as clean room booth, etc, is a small space enclosed by anti-static mesh curtains or organic glass in a clean room, with HEPA and FFU air supply units above it to form a space with a higher cleanliness level than a clean room. Clean booth can be equipped with clean room equipment such as air shower, pass box, etc;
(2). Clean room is a specially designed room that removes pollutants such as particulate matter, harmful air, and bacteria from the air within a certain space, and controls the indoor temperature, cleanliness, indoor pressure, air flow speed and air flow distribution, noise, vibration, lighting, and static electricity within a certain required range. That is, no matter how the external air conditions change, the room can maintain the originally set requirements for cleanliness, temperature, humidity, and pressure. The main function of a clean room is to control the cleanliness, temperature, and humidity of the atmosphere that the product is exposed to, so that the product can be produced and manufactured in a good environment which we call such a space a clean room.
2. Material comparison
(1). Clean booth frames can generally be divided into three types: stainless steel square tubes, painted iron square tubes, and industrial aluminum profiles. The top can be made of stainless steel plates, painted cold-plastic steel plates, anti-static mesh curtains, and acrylic organic glass. The surroundings are generally made of anti-static mesh curtains or organic glass, and the air supply unit is made of FFU clean air supply units.
(2). Clean room generally use sandwich panels walls and ceilings and independent air conditioning and air supply systems. The air is filtered through three levels of primary, secondary, and high efficiency. Personnel and materials are equipped with air shower and pass box for clean filtration.
3. Selection of clean room cleanliness level
Most customers will choose a class 1000 clean room or a class 10,000 clean room, while a small number of customers will choose a class 100 or class 10,0000. In short, the choice of clean room cleanliness level depends on the customer's need for cleanliness. However, because clean rooms are relatively closed, choosing a lower level clean room often brings some side effects: insufficient cooling capacity, and employees will feel stuffy in the clean room. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to this point when communicating with customers.
4. Cost comparison between clean booth and clean room
Clean booth is typically built within clean room, eliminating the need for air shower, pass box, and air conditioning systems. This significantly reduces costs compared to clean room. This, of course, depends on the materials, size, and cleanliness level of the clean room. While some clients prefer to build clean room separately, clean booth is often built within clean room. Without considering clean rooms with air conditioning system, air shower, pass box, and other clean room equipment, clean booth costs can be approximately 40% to 60% of the clean room cost. This depends on the client's choice of clean room materials and size. The larger the area to be cleaned, the smaller the cost difference between a clean booth and clean room.
5. Advantages and disadvantages
(1). Clean booth: Clean booth is quick to construct, low-cost, easy to disassemble and assemble, and reusable. Since clean booth is usually about 2 meters high, using a large number of FFUs will make the inside of the clean booth noisy. Since there is no independent air conditioning system, the inside of the clean shed often feels stuffy. If the clean booth is not built in a clean room, the life of the hepa filter will be shortened compared to the clean room due to the lack of filtration by the medium air filter. Frequent replacement of the hepa filter will increase the cost.
(2). Clean room: Clean room construction is slow and costly. Clean room height is usually at least 2600mm, so workers do not feel oppressed when working in it.
