Weighing booth, also called sampling booth and dispensing booth, is a kind of local clean equipment specially used in clean room such as pharmaceuticals, microbiological research and scientific experiments. It provides vertical unidirectional air flow. Some clean air circulates in working area and some is discharged to nearby areas, causing working area to generate negative pressure to prevent cross-contamination and is used to ensure high cleanliness environment in working area. Weighing and dispensing dust and reagents inside equipment can control the spillage and rising of dust and reagents, prevent the inhalation harm of dust and reagents to human body, avoid cross-contamination of dust and reagents, and protect the safety of the external environment and indoor personnel. The working area is protected by class 100 vertical unidirectional air flow and designed according to GMP requirements.

It adopts three levels of primary, medium and hepa filtration, with class 100 laminar flow in working area. Most of clean air circulates in working area, and a small part of the clean air (10-15%) is discharged to the weighing booth. The background environment is clean area, thereby forming negative pressure in working area to prevent dust leakage and protect the safety of personnel and the surrounding environment.

Structural composition of weighing booth

The equipment adopts modular design and is composed of professional units such as structure, ventilation, electrical and automatic control. The main structure uses SUS304 wall panels, and the sheet metal structure is made of stainless steel plates of different specifications: the ventilation unit is composed of fans, hepa filters, and flow-equalizing membranes. The electrical system (380V/220V) is divided into lamps, electrical control device and sockets, etc. In terms of automatic control, sensors such as temperature, cleanliness, and pressure difference are used to sense changes in corresponding parameters and adjust to maintain the normal operation of the overall equipment.
