LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRONIC CLEAN ROOM

1. The lighting in electronic clean room generally requires high illumination, but the number of lamps installed is limited by the number and location of hepa boxes. This requires that the minimum number of lamps be installed to achieve the same illumination value. The luminous efficiency of fluorescent lamps is generally 3 to 4 times that of incandescent lamps, and they generate less heat, which is conducive to energy saving in air conditioners. In addition, clean rooms have little natural lighting. When selecting a light source, it is also necessary to consider that its spectral distribution is as close to natural light as possible. Fluorescent lamps can basically meet this requirement. Therefore, at present, clean rooms at home and abroad generally use fluorescent lamps as lighting sources. When some clean rooms have a high floor height, it is difficult to achieve the design illumination value using general fluorescent lighting. In this case, other light sources with good light color and higher lighting efficiency can be used. Because some production processes have special requirements for the light color of the light source, or when fluorescent lamps interfere with the production process and testing equipment, other forms of light sources can also be used.

2. The installation method of lighting fixtures is one of the important issues in clean room lighting design. Three key points in maintaining the cleanliness of the clean room:

(1) Use a suitable hepa filter.

(2) Solve the air flow pattern and maintain the indoor and outdoor pressure difference.

(3) Keep indoors free from pollution.

Therefore, the ability to maintain cleanliness mainly depends on the purification air conditioning system and the equipment selected, and of course the elimination of dust sources from staff and other objects. As we all know, lighting fixtures are not the main source of dust, but if installed improperly, dust particles will penetrate through the gaps in the fixtures. Practice has proved that lamps embedded in the ceiling and installed concealed often have large errors in matching with the building during construction, resulting in lax sealing and failure to achieve the expected results. Moreover, the investment is large and the luminous efficiency is low. Practice and test results show that in non-unidirectional flow, In a clean room, the surface installation of lighting fixtures will not reduce the cleanliness level.

3. For electronic clean room, it is better to install lamps in clean room ceiling. However, if the installation of the lamps is restricted by the floor height and the special process requires concealed installation, sealing must be done to prevent dust particles from penetrating into clean room. The structure of the lamps can facilitate cleaning and replacement of lamp tubes.

Set sign lights at the corners of safety exits, evacuation openings and evacuation passages to facilitate evacuees to identify the direction of travel and quickly evacuate the accident scene. Set up red emergency lights at dedicated fire exits to facilitate firefighters to enter clean room in time to put out fires.
