4 DESIGN OPTIONS FOR ISO 6 CLEAN ROOM

How to do a ISO 6 clean room? Today we will talk about 4 design options for ISO 6 clean room.

Option 1: AHU (air handling unit) + hepa box.

Option 2: MAU (fresh air unit) + RCU (circulation unit) + hepa box.

Option 3: AHU (air handling unit) + FFU (fan filter unit) + technical interlayer, suitable for small cleanroom workshop with sensible heat loads.

Option 4: MAU (fresh air unit) + DC (dry coil) + FFU (fan filter unit) + technical interlayer, suitable for cleanroom workshop with large sensible heat loads, such as electronic clean room.

The following are the design methods of the 4 solutions.

Option 1: AHU + HEPA box

The functional sections of the AHU include new return air mixing filter section, surface cooling section, heating section, humidification section, fan section and medium filter air outlet section. After outdoor fresh air and return air are mixed and processed by AHU to meet indoor temperature and humidity requirements, they are sent to clean room through hepa box at the end. The air flow pattern is top supply and side return.

Option 2: MAU+ RAU + HEPA box

The functional sections of the fresh air unit include fresh air filtration section, medium filtration section, preheating section, surface cooling section, reheating section, humidification section and fan outlet section. Functional sections of the circulation unit: new return air mixing section, surface cooling section, fan section, and medium filtered air outlet section. The outdoor fresh air is processed by fresh air unit to meet indoor humidity requirements and set supply air temperature. After being mixed with return air, it is processed by circulation unit and reaches indoor temperature. When it reaches indoor temperature, it is sent to clean room through hepa box at the end. The air flow pattern is top supply and side return.

Option 3: AHU + FFU + technical interlayer (suitable for small cleanroom workshop with sensible heat loads)

The functional sections of the AHU include new return air mixing filter section, surface cooling section, heating section, humidification section, fan section, medium filter section, and sub-hepa box section. After the outdoor fresh air and part of the return air are mixed and processed by AHU to meet indoor temperature and humidity requirements, they are sent to technical mezzanine. After mixing with a large amount of FFU circulating air, they are pressurized by fan filter unit FFU and then sent to clean room. The air flow pattern is top supply and side return.

Option 4: MAU + DC + FFU + technical interlayer (suitable for cleanroom workshop with large sensible heat loads, such as electronic clean room)

The functional sections of the unit include new return air filtration section, surface cooling section, heating section, humidification section, fan section, and medium filtration section. After outdoor fresh air and return air are mixed and processed by AHU to meet the indoor temperature and humidity requirements, in technical interlayer of the air supply duct, it is mixed with a large amount of circulating air processed by dry coil and then sent to clean room after being pressurized by fan filter unit FFU. The air flow pattern is top supply and side return.
