THREE PRINCIPLES FOR ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENTS IN CLEAN ROOM

clean room

About electrical equipment in clean room, a particularly important issue is to maintain the cleanliness of the clean production area stably at a certain level to ensure product quality and improve finished product rate.

1. Does not generate dust

Rotating parts such as motors and fan belts should be made of materials with good wear resistance and no peeling on the surface. The surfaces of guide rails and wire ropes of vertical transportation machinery such as elevators or horizontal machinery should not peel off. In view of the huge power consumption of modern high-tech clean room and the continuous and uninterrupted requirements of electrical production process equipment, in order to adapt to the characteristics of clean room, the clean production environment requires no dust production, no dust accumulation, and no contamination. All settings in electrical equipment in clean room should be clean and energy-saving. Cleanliness requires no dust particles. The rotating part of the motor should be made of materials with good wear resistance and no peeling on the surface. Dust particles should not be generated on the surfaces of distribution boxes, switch boxes, sockets, and UPS power supplies located in clean room.

2. Does not retain dust

The switchboards, control panels, switches, etc. installed on wall panels should be concealed as much as possible, and should be in a shape with as few concavities and convexities as possible. Wiring pipes, etc. should be installed concealed in principle. If they must be installed exposed, they should not be installed exposed in the horizontal part under any circumstances. They can only be installed in vertical part. When accessories must be mounted on surface, the surface should have fewer edges and corners and be smooth to facilitate cleaning. Safety exit lights and evacuation sign lights installed in accordance with the fire protection law need to be constructed in a manner that is not prone to dust accumulation. Walls, floors, etc. will generate static electricity due to the movement of people or objects and repeated friction of the air and absorb dust. Therefore, anti-static floors, anti-static decoration materials, and grounding measures must be taken.

3. Does not bring in dust

Electrical conduits, lighting fixtures, detectors, sockets, switches, etc. used in construction should be fully cleaned before use. In addition, special attention must be paid to the storage and cleaning of electrical conduits. The penetrations around lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, etc. installed on the ceiling and walls of the clean room must be sealed to prevent the intrusion of unclean air. The protective tubes of wires and cables that run through the clean room must be sealed where they pass through walls, floors and ceilings. Lighting fixtures require regular maintenance when replacing lamp tubes and bulbs, so the structure must be considered to prevent dust from falling into clean room when replacing lamp tubes and bulbs.
